71st Year Of Independence | Marriott Karachi Celebrates The Day With Special People.

KARACHI: To commemorate the occasion of 71st Independence Day of Pakistan, Karachi Marriott Hotel organized a cake cutting ceremony. Chef Philippe Chanut created a 71 feet long cake decorated with the Pakistan flag. The cake filled the marquee from one end to the other. Mr. Rehan Faiz Pirzada, Cluster General Manager, Karachi Marriott Hotel and staff participated in the cake cutting ceremony.

Children from Dar ul Sakoon, an organization that supports people with disabilities also came to participate in the cake cutting ceremony as special guests. Sister Ruth Lewis, a senior member of Dar ul Sukun, and Ramzan Chippa one of the largest welfare organizations of the country, as well as Faisal Eidhi, son of Abdul Sattar Edhi, the greatest philanthropist known to the nation, graced the national day celebrations and cake cutting at the hotel.

The cake was prepared with 72 kg flour, 100 kg butter, 1440 eggs, and 96 kg of sugar. Expertly baked by a team of 12 chefs, it took 48 hours to complete.
