Galiyat Rest Houses | GDA Gets The Charge From TCKP

PESHAWAR: Tourism Corporation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) has handed over all the government rest houses in the Galiyat area to the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) which would now be responsible for the booking of these resorts.

The TCKP spokesperson on Monday said that the rest houses were handed over to GDA last week and that tourists had been advised to contact the authority from now onward for booking. She said that TCKP earned Rs15 million in a very short time after getting charge of rest houses and and renovated all these properties while keeping the expenditure very low.

The rest houses which have been handed over included Chief Secretary House, Inspection Banglow, Dak Banglow, Wandiya House, K-P House (Moon View, Murree), Shimla Cottage, Raees  Khana, Secretariat Cottage and some others properties also. She said that TCKP under the World Bank’s project of economic rehabilitation of KP and FATA renovated all the rest houses to provide accommodation to the tourists and attracted many local and foreign tourists.
